Dog walker suffers serious injuries in Cromford smash

A dog walker suffered serious injuries in a crash in Cromford.

The woman was walking her pet on the pavement at the entrance of Dene Quarry, The Hill, at about 7.40pm yesterday.

She was struck by a black coloured Skoda Fabia which was travelling from the direction of Wirksworth.

The woman suffered serious injuries and was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham where she is currently being treated.

The car driver was arrested at the scene.
