Don’t meddle with our NHS

Having benefited recently from swift expert and coordinated NHS response to a health emergency from calm ambulance crew to consultant on a Saturday night (the operation ending at 2am) we wonder what might happen in the future with the Tory dream of a fragmented and competition based service with each part concerned with its profit as much as patients.

It is also a myth that the NHS is our bureucratic - so far the paper trail consists of a prescription, advice brochures and an out patient appointment. From our experience in some other countries we would be knee deep in paper.

Our political masters should know we speak to our family and friends of our experience and our fears about unnecessary meddling with our humane and efficient NHS service.
