Driver hospitalised after lorry overturns near Chatsworth

The driver of an articulated lorry has gone to hospital today after the vehicle overturned near Chatsworth.

Emergency services were called to Baslow Island at about 9am.

Derbyshire police, the fire service and East Midlands Ambulance Service were all at the scene.

Later this morning, the Highways Agency also attended to deal with the clean up of diesel and recovery of the vehicle.

The driver is believed to not have suffered any serious injuries and went to hospital as a precaution.
