Easter Saturday fun at Matlock Spafest

Matlock Town Council staff are warming up for a summer of fun playing out in the beautiful parks and spaces around the town with the annual Unplugged series of events which starts at noon this Saturday (March 26) with Spafest.

Spafest is a popular Easter weekend event which this year takes place at the Hillside Garden, opposite Twiggs on Bakewell Road, and promises all the usual fun and free family activities.

With an Easter Hat competition - either bring along one you have already made or see if you can rustle up a nature-themed bonnet while you are there - colouring, crafts and music from local bands Sass and Bailey, Acora and Josh Baile, you can guarantee you’ll have a wonderful afternoon.

Matlock mayor Councillor Steve Flitter said: “We know how much fun families from Matlock had last year at our fantastic Unplugged – Playing Out events last summer and we received really positive feedback about them.

“Matlock Town Council was pleased to set up the events for this year to give local families and visitors a range of great activities through the summer, making the most of the wonderful spaces we have in the town.”

Admission for Spafest is free, with events running from noon on Saturday.
