Lady Manners pupils go to Cambridge

Four sixth form girls from Lady Manners School have attended a prestigious overnight event at one of the colleges of Cambridge University, Murray Edwards College.

The Pathways to Success event, attended by 100 students and their teachers from across the country, was designed to inspire high-achieving young women to aim high by considering their options for the future.

The visitors were hosted by students and staff of Murray Edwards College and joined in workshops, talks and a celebration dinner.

Lady Manners teacher Mrs Wood said: “We were delighted to bring some of our students to this event. It has helped them to get a sense of all the many opportunities ahead of them and to feel more confident about following their ambitions and aiming high.”

The students heard the stories of a number of women who went on to highly successful careers after university and also met final year Cambridge students who talked about their academic studies and other opportunities that have inspired them for the future.
