EMAS fails to reach targets in Matlock and Bakewell

Figures have revealed the East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS) is failing to get to patients in Matlock and Bakewell within the required time.

The service has a target of getting to call-outs within eight minutes 75 per cent of the time, however EMAS has only managed this 50 per cent of the time according to its figures for 2013.

On average, ambulances have been able to get to call–outs of a serious nature in Matlock within 11 minutes and 36 seconds and Bakewell within 11 minutes and two seconds.
