This is the design that helped Matlock six-year-old Emma Parker win a charity competition to find the ultimate in doggy couture.
Budding designer Emma was named as the East Midlands’ top dog in the Retired Greyhound Trust’s Ultimate Dog Coat design competition.
Emma’s creation was judged best in the region’s six and under category
Her design will be on show at the Retired Greyhound Trust’s annual show - The Great Greyhound Gathering - which will take place at Nottingham Racecourse on Saturday, September 17.
Emma beat off tough competition from scores of youngsters from across the region with her design and snapped up greyhound goodies for her brilliant work.
Peter Laurie, chief executive of the Retired Greyhound Trust, said: “We have received some fantastic designs from around the country and it was a tough decision to find our winners.”
The Retired Greyhound Trust finds homes for greyhounds at the end of their racing careers. The Ultimate Dog Coat competition aims to help raise awareness of the dogs and the fact that there are many across the country that need loving homes with new families.
