Youngsters had fun in the farmyard – when a top visitor attraction hosted a week of activities.
Chatsworth farmyard and adventure playground was alive with frogs, bugs and beasties as the stately home hosted its first ever winter half-term opening.
A frogs and princesses theme ran throughout the week and children had a chance to get creative and make crowns, frog and pig masks.
Visitors also got up close and personal with an array of animals and had a chance to hold guinea pigs, friendly frogs, slithering snakes, spiders and other creepy crawlies.
Families also enjoyed the farmyard with its wide variety of animals, including horses, pigs, sheep, chickens, and their young.
Arty activities and crafts including mud painting and make-your-own bird feeders also took place and children had a chance to explore the woodland adventure playground.
Chatsworth house and garden will re-open for this year’s season on March 13.
