Sporty youngsters took part in a variety of half-term activities during a mini Olympic Games event.
Running, hurdling, long jump and javelin games were on offer in Wirksworth, alongside old classics such as the egg and spoon race.
The event was to celebrate National Family Week and Derbyshire Dales District Council lined up an array of activities throughout the half-term school holidays from May 30 to June 4.
The programme was set to encourage families to spend more time together, be active – and have fun.
Antnony Gell School, in Wirksworth, hosted the mini Olympic Games.
Families joined in with rounders, football and cricket matches, obstacle courses, beat-the-keeper and even playing with a giant parachute!
Derbyshire Dales District Council leisure facilities officer, Ashley Watts said: “I was delighted to see so many families coming together to take part in sporting activities and everyone had a huge amount of fun.”
The council is set to celebrate the event again next year and a Summer Fun programme of activities will be taking place throughout the school summer holidays.
