Originally a one-off organised by parents and teachers of Edale Church of England Primary School, the event became annual due to its popularity.

The day also featured a fell race, childrens’ games, a bouncy slide, a climbing wall, hobbyhorse races, falconry displays, sheep shearing demonstrations and a dog show.
