Festive fun for a VERY worthy cause

Yes it’s nearly that time of year again when Santa will be in his grotto at 7 The Parkway, Darley Dale, giving out presents to the children, and to raise money for a good causes.

This year’s event will take place at 4pm on Sunday 9th December with Santa arriving by horse and carriage, provided by The Red House Stables again.

As usual entertainment will be provided by members of the Darley Dale Band.

Sherry and mince pies will be served by members of the Barmy Army.

Santa’s house will be lit up like a Christmas tree and the Barmy Army will be dressed up as furry friends, and of course it will snow.

This year the good cause is for a Starlight Wish for a little girl, Ellie May who lives just out of Chesterfield, she is six years old and suffers from cerebral palsy.

Ellie May is confined to a wheelchair and completely dependent on her parents and grandparents to assist her.

Her Starlight wish is to go on a family holiday to Centre Parcs.

Please could you help us with prizes for the raffle or with a cash donation.

If you wish you may pay money into our account at The Royal Bank of Scotland at Darley Dale, our bank account number is 10047082.

Last year over two thousand pounds was raised and it went to Joel Rodgers and also to the Air Ambulance.

Over the last 14 years around twenty thousand pounds has been raised and given out, it’s all thanks to you all for given any donations. Thanks for all your support!

So come along on Sunday and have a drink and a mince pie, you are most welcome.

Many thanks, in advance for your support.

Merry Christmas to you all from Santa and the Barmy Army!
