Fifteen new homes will be constructed at a retirement complex as it enters its third phase.
Audley St Elphin’s Park, in Darley Dale, has commenced work on 15 new two and three bedroom apartments.
The new development will be named Kennedy Court, after a house at St Elphin’s School, which was formerly on the site.
More than 50 per cent of the properties have already been reserved for sale.
Nick Sanderson, chief executive of Audley, said: “Starting work on the third phase of building at St Elphin’s Park is hugely exciting for all.
“We look forward to completing the development and welcoming new owners to what has already become a thriving new community living in an area of outstanding natural beauty.
“The Audley proposition is designed for the aspirations of the older demographic, providing exceptional quality living and the lifestyle that this discerning audience deserve.
“Alongside high design and the Audley Club, with restaurant, swimming pool, gym and more, we offer flexible care and support as and when owners need it.
“This means the Audley home is truly the owner’s for life.”
All of the apartments in this third phase of development offer private balconies or terraces.
The apartments will have high quality fixtures and fittings from Villeroy and Boch sanitary ware to SieMatic kitchens.
The third phase of development at St Elphin’s Park will bring the total number of properties at the village to 72.
The project has included restoration of parts of the original school buildings, including the turret, which has been integrated into the property so that Kennedy Court is in keeping with its surroundings.
