Firefighters rescue crash casualty in Ripley

Firefighters had to free a casualty from the wreckage of a crash after three vehicles were involved in a collision.

The crash happened on the A610 Ripley Bypass between MacDonald’s roundabout and the A38 roundabout about 5.25pm, on Tuesday, August 5.

Ripley and Alfreton firefighters attended the collision and freed one person who was trapped by their injuries.

The casualty was taken to hospital by ambulance.

Firefighters made the crash scene safe and left about 6.30pm.

Witnesses should call Derbyshire Constabulary on 101.
