Firefighters strike again in pension row

Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service has confirmed that Fire Brigades union (FBU) members will be on strike between 6.30pm December 31 until 12.30am on January 1, then on January 3 between 6.30am and 8.30am.

During times of industrial action, the fire service will continue to provide an emergency response service, albeit at a reduced level.

The service is once again calling upon Derbyshire communities to take extra care and endeavour to prevent further emergencies from occurring during this and any subsequent periods of industrial action.
