Cromford Mills will be launching its brand new season of events with a pancake race for all the family.

The first ever Cromford Mills Pancake Race will take place in the mill yard on Saturday, February 9 at 1pm.

For anybody who wishes to part, the entry fee is £1 and pancakes will be provided for tossing and racing.

Participants should also bring along a frying pan, but fancy dress is optional.

Catherine Roth, events officer at Cromford Mills, said: “We are always keen to stage new and exciting events for visitors to the mill and pancake racing in the yard promises an entertaining afternoon, whether participating or watching.”

The Cromford Mills Pancake Race is open to people of all ages and there will be small prizes up for grabs.

But for anybody who doesn’t fancy racing, the Mill Restaurant will be serving pancakes as well as cakes, speciality teas and coffees and a selection of alcoholic beverages all day.
