WET and windy weather battered the Dales over the weekend.
The Environment Agency put flood warnings along the River Derwent on Sunday and was still issuing alerts last night.
Several premises were swamped by the waters.
Among them was the Square and Compass, in Darley Dale, where the Derwent left the ground floor under four inches of water.
Old Road and Station Road, in Darley Dale near the pub, were both shut yesterday due to the floods.
Last night, the Environment Agency still had a flood warning on the River Derwent at Darley Dale – the stretch including the Square and Compass, in Station Road, Darley Bridge.
Firefighters were called in to deal with flooding at The Railway Hotel, Matlock.
The Met Office said five to ten millimetres of rain was expected today but that was unlikely to contribute to flooding.
