She commented: “I feel very honoured to win because State Street are a huge company in the capital markets space and it’s really nice to be recognized by your peers.

“I was up against some tough competition so I feel like it’s a great achievement.”

The State Street Institutional Press Awards were launched in 2002 and were the first of their kind, honouring the hard work of journalists covering institutional investment, pensions, investor services and technology.

Head judge Charles Batchelor commented: “This year’s entries confirmed that conveying useful information is an important role of the journalist.

“The ability to inject life and colour into frequently dry, technical areas of the world of pensions and investments is what has distinguished this year’s winners. In particular, the quality of writing in investor services and technology was high this year.”
