Four injured after serious crash in Darley Dale

Firefighters rescued three people and helped a fourth person after two cars were involved in a collision.

The crash happened on Wirestone Lane, at Stone Edge, Darley Dale, about 9.40am, on Friday, September 13.

A Derrbyshire fire service spokesman said: “Three people were trapped but were safely extricated by fire crews within half-an-hour and first aid was administered to a fourth person.”

Firefighters from Matlock, Staveley and Clay Cross dealt with the emergency and an air ambulance came to the crash site.

All four casualties were taken to hospital by East Midlands Ambulance Service.

Firefighters made the crash scene safe by about 11.25am.
