Furness Vale drink driver fined and disqualified

A cleaner has been fined for drink driving in Furness Vale, High Peak Magistrates’ Court heard on Monday.

Nicolas Quinn, 25, of Poynton, was driving a BMW when he was stopped by police at 1am on July 26 on Buxton Road.

When tested, he had 58 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.

Quinn was banned for 15 months and was ordered to pay a £110 fine, £85 court costs and a £20 victim surcharge.
