Across Derbyshire, people of all ages have been out and about enjoying the sunshine.

From relaxing in the park to cooling off with an ice cream, residents have been making the most of the heatwave.

The temperatures are expected to reach 30C today in Derbyshire making it the hottest day of the year so far.

People are being advised to stay safe by taking measures including: staying out of direct sunlight and especially between 11am and 3pm; drinking plenty of water and wearing light loose-fitting cotton clothes to minimise the risk of sunburn.
