A GALLERY has been officially opened at Cromford Mills, attended by a host of dignitaries.

Whitepeaks Fine Art is the latest addition to the burgeoning Derbyshire exhibition scene which saw chairman of Derbyshire County Council, Cllr George Wharmby accept an invitation, along with former mayor of Matlock, Cllr Steve Flitter and Nick Turner, the town centre manager of Mansfield Town Council.

The firm started life as an internet-based fine art business and has grown under the direction of its creator Mark Pazik.

He took the decision to open a physical gallery.

A spokesman for the firm said: “As a direct result of its success, the company decided that a physical gallery was needed from which it could continue the internet side of the business.”

The gallery is located in the central courtyard of Cromford Mills.
