Young people have been getting to grips with the great outdoors.
Students from Highfields School travelled to Algonquin National Park, in Canada, where they have completed a four day canoeing expedition.
The challenge was undertaken as part of their aim to achieve the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award.
The gold award is the highest accolade in the Duke of Edinburgh scheme and was a great achievement for the teens.
Thanks were given to Alison Wildgoose and all those who helped to fund–raise for the trip.
In particular, thanks were given to Derbyshire County Council, Matlock Rotary Club, Masson Mill and Reynolds (Sydnope) Ltd.
