Matlock’s Trefoil Guild celebrated another successful year at its recent annual meeting.
Held at Dale Road Methodist Church Hall on Thursday 19 January, Chairperson Beyrl Miller congratulated those in attendance for their efforts in increasing the Guild’s membership and keeping its traditions alive.
Over the past year members of Matlock Trefoil Guild have enjoyed dining out, theatre visits, a trip on the Chesterfield Canal and a whole host of other activities.
Beryl Miller said: “They have all enjoyed a diverse and interesting programme with an emphasis on support for Girlguiding.”
Other activities the Guild got up to over the past year included making quilted pennants for presentation to the Olympic and Paralympic athletes as well as making boxes for Operation Christmas Child.
The annual meeting was not just a look back at the successes of the previous year, though, it was also an opportunity to welcome Ann Hall as the new Chairperson for the coming year.
Matlock Trefoil Guild meet on the third Thursday of each month at 7.30pm at the Darley Dale Methodist Church Hall.
