The Grand Pavilion could soon be sold for just £1

Members of Derbyshire Dales District Council will decide if the iconic Matlock Bath landmark should be sold on Thursday, November 13.

The charity, The Grand Pavilion Ltd, wants ownership so that it can apply to funding organisations for renovation grants and continue to use the building for the benefit of the community.

Charity spokesman Gregor Macgregor said: “The district council has been very helpful towards us meeting this objective. Now that there is a vote on a recommendation to sell, we are hoping that councillors will agree and say ‘yes’.”
