Matlock’s new leisure centre has been awarded a grant of almost £30,000 towards the moveable floor in the competition pool.
The money has been given to Derbyshire Dales District Council by the Amateur Swimming Association (ASA).
The cash will provide flexibility in the main swimming pool at Arc Leisure Matlock when it opens this summer.
The moveable floor can either provide a two metre depth throughout, or can be adjusted to different depths to help with swimming lessons and other activities.
Hannah Creelman, of ASA, said: “The inclusion of the moveable floor will increase the flexibility of the pool to ensure the facility meets the needs of the whole community.”
