Great Longstone residents are pulling up the last few weeds and fine trimming the hedges in preparation for the village’s open gardens event.
It is planned that there will be a minimum of 15 gardens open for this years event and teas, plants sales, and more will be available from some of the gardens.
The village gardens will be open between 11am and 5pm on Saturday, June 29 and from 1pm and 5pm on Sunday, June 30.
Programmes will be available from the free car park in Church Lane, Great Longstone, and are priced at £4 per adult with no charge for accompanied children.
Proceeds will be distributed between St Giles Church and three overseas charities.
