PEOPLE are being encouraged to share their views on the future of recreational trails which thousands of walkers, cyclists and horse riders use each year.

The Peak District National Park Authority has launched a six-week public consultation to determine the future of Monsal Trail, Tissington Trail, High Peak Trail and Thornhill Trail.

Trails manager Abi Ball said: “Given the importance of the trails to residents and visitors, we’d like to give people the opportunity to comment on the plan which is available to view and download from our website.”

People have until September 17 to give their feedback on www.peakdistrict.gov.uk/looking-after/trailsplan.
