Firm’s expansion brings jobs boost

A Derbyshire care company is looking to recruit staff in the Derbyshire Dales as part of its expansion plans.

Bluebird Care, based in Belper, provides care at home for the residents of Derbyshire Dales and Amber Valley.

As the business is growing, they are looking to hire care workers to work in Matlock and its surrounding villages.

Intitally the aim is take on five new staff, with as many as 20 in the next 12 months.

Bluebird Care’s owners, Susan and Philip King decided to start their own care service having experienced variable service when they sought care for 4 of their relatives over a period of 15 years.

Susan said: “We found care services to be virtually invisible, good care difficult to obtain and the standard inconsistent.

“We are keen to state that not all care is the same. We pride ourselves on delivering quality care, tailored to our customer’s needs and delivered on time to a pre-arranged schedule. “

Susan added: “In order to achieve this we hand pick individuals to join our team of well-trained, highlymotivated local people.

“Training is on-going and all staff have an enhanced DBS (formerly CRB) check.

“With our programme of training and supervision we can ensure quality and reliability for our customers.

“If you are interested in joining our team we are looking for caring people who are interested in care as a vocation, delivering a quality and reliable service to the people of Matlock and surrounding area.”

Anyone interested can contact Bluebird via email: or telephone 01773 880055 or ask for Chris Ingram at Belper Job Centre.

Experience is not necessary as full training will be given but applicants need to be drivers with an available car.
