Blind and visually impaired people are being given the chance to enjoy the great outdoors next week.
As part of the Peak District walking festival the High Peak and Dales Health Champions have organised two walks for people who are blind or visually impaired.
The walks, at Chatsworth on Saturday, April 30 and Stanton Moor on Wednesday, May 4 are both free and there will be experienced volunteer sighted guides to assist anyone who needs it.
Walker Liz Martin said: “I feel I can walk a lot further now and I always feel secure walking with the volunteers. I often learn new things about the places we go.”
To book a place on the walks call 01538 483741, and for more information on the walks call Buxton Volunteer Centre on 01298 23970.
