Highfields’ head to retire

a MATLOCK headteacher has announced he is retiring.

Ramsey Tetlow, who has been in charge at Highfields since January 1 2006, said he was set to leave headship to pursue other opportunities.

He said he would be leaving at Easter next year and added: “I have enjoyed my time at Highfields and hope I have moved the school forward in that period.

“I would like to take this opportunity of thanking you for your support and wish you and yours the very best of health and happiness in the future.

“There will be plenty of times for goodbyes in the run-up to Easter.

“The Governors have started to plan for my succession and I send them my best wishes for a good outcome. The school deserves no less.”
