Holiday fraud advice issued by police
Detectives have issued advice to prevent Dales residents from falling victim to holiday booking frauds as part of an new initiative.
According to recent statistics from the National Fraud Intelligence Bureau fraudsters stole an estimated £7million from travellers and holiday makers in 2013.
Victims are scammed by fraudulent advertisements of holiday villas and apartments, with some discovering they have nowhere to stay or a fake ticket for a flight.
