Hope Valley runner pledges support to charity

A Bradwell woman will be taking on a marathon task in order to support a lifesaving charity.

Kristine Leaper, 34, will be running in the 2015 Virgin Money London Marathon in aid of St John Ambulance, and hopes anyone who won a place in the ballot, without choosing a cause to support, will now join her in fundraising for charity.

She said: “I’ve chosen to run in aid of St John Ambulance because I have been running for a number of years and now feel ready for the challenge of a full marathon – and what better challenge than the London Marathon.

“As a St John Ambulance volunteer, I regularly provide first aid at public events in and around the Hope Valley and have been a first aider at many fell racing and marathon events

“I can’t think of a better charity to fundraise for at the marathon because without the St John Ambulance first aiders lining the route.”
