How can council help you cut waste?

Derbyshire County Council wants to hear what local people think would help them to reduce, reuse, recycle and compost more.

By answering a few simple questions they can enter into a free prize draw to win £50.

Councillor Joan Dixon, the county council’s cabinet member for jobs, economy and transport, said: “Households in Derbyshire are still throwing around 245,000 tonnes of waste into their general waste bin every year – even though about half of it could have been recycled or composted. That’s enough waste to fill 87 Olympic size swimming pools.” Derbyshire residents can take part in the survey at bit.ly/1c25ix4
