For Children in Need pupils dressed in their pyjamas, and every child baked and decorated a cake or biscuit for a cake sale. The sale of key rings and wristbands brought the fundraising total for the day up to £313.

As the disaster in the Philippines hit the headlines, the children wanted to do something to help, so at very short notice parents and friends were asked to send in their loose pennies and two pennies, and the pupils made a coin trail around school, raising £91 which will be donated to the Disasters Emergency Committee Philippines Appeal.

Head teacher Lesley Grover said “As always, I am thrilled and humbled by the generosity of our children, their parents and carers. We are extremely proud of them.”
