International Womens Day: Will you be taking the day off?

The ladies behind the anti-Trump marches in America want the female of the species to down tools, whatever their line of work, to show just how valuable they are to the world as well as the work place.

The group are planning their “General Strike: A day without a woman” event in honour of International Women’s Day on Wednesday March 8.

As well as taking the day off, they want those taking part to not part with a penny unless it is spent in a business owned by a woman.

But before all you ladies set the out of office and prepare to settle down in front of Jeremy Kyle and This Morning, there’s likely to be repercussions if you take the day off in which case the organisers suggest you wear red and spread the word on social media instead.
