Patrolling officers stopped a car on the B5023 at Wirksworth on June 10 last year and searched the occupants.

Adam Reynolds, who was a passenger, was taken to the town’s police station and found to have drugs secreted on his body.

The 27-year-old assaulted one of the officers trying to detain him.

He was released on bail while the drugs were analysed.
