A wedding and engagement ring were among items swiped by heartless crooks from a house in Lea Bridge.
The owners of the isolated property returned home at around 5pm on Friday to find that burglars had broken in via a downstairs window and ransacked the place.
The crime is believed to have been committed between then and 4.45pm the previous day.
Other items taken included two laptops, two digital cameras, binoculars, a CPS system and a quantity of cash.
An Osprey rucksack was also taken and it is believed it may have been used by the thieves to carry away the other items.
The home owners were out at the time the burglary is thought to have taken place.
Neighbours have been interviewed by police, however all those who have been spoken to so far can’t remember seeing anything out of the ordinary at the time in question.
Anyone who may have seen anything, or who has further information on the burglary, is asked to contact Derbyshire Police on the new 101 number.
