A deal has already been struck to save parts of the £128m turnover business. But a buyer is still to be found for Leaderflush, absed on Milnhay Road.

Joint administrators Richard Hawes said: “The management of the group has been working hard to explore options to secure the future of all of its subsidiaries and, as administrators, we will continue those efforts.”

The Laidlaw Group employed 969 staff and 390 jobs have been saved after four divisions were bought by London-based Valtegra.’
