A donation of £387 from the Spring Gardens store’s Community Matters Scheme has been put towards a new playing kit for Rowsley Sunday League side Buxton JFC Spartans Under-11s.

A cheque was recently presented to manager Tony Mitchell and the Spartans players, wearing their new kits, by Rachel Quinn, of Waitrose.

Under the Community Matters scheme, shoppers vote for which of a number of local good causes should benefit from a funding pot.
