Delighted Katie Hirst will be making the most of the town’s new leisure centre after winning a top competition.
Katie was presented with her prize – of nine month’s couple’s active leisure plus membership which is worth £518.10 and entitles her to unlimited use of all Derbyshire Dales District Council pools, fitness suites and fitness classes.
The competition has been running in the Mercury since August and Katie’s name was drawn out of a hat this week.
She was presented with her prize by chairman of the district of the Derbyshire Dales Judith Twigg and Arc manager Paul Blakemore.
Katie, 32, of Collingwood Crescent, said: “It’s a really great facility. It’s all so new and such a treat to have something like the Arc in Matlock.
“My children go for swimming lessons at the Arc and really enjoy it and I definitely want to try out the new gym.”
