Kick the habit for good this year
Health chiefs have urged smokers to kick the habit with a little help from the NHS.
NHS Hardwick Clinical Commissioning Group is championing a new drop-in clinic being run by Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Trust’s Stop Smoking Team. Sessions will take place at Alfreton Care Centre each Tuesday evening during January. New starters are asked to arrive in time to start their first session at 6.15pm, after which groups will begin at 5.30pm.Meanwhile, a drop-in clinic will start in Alfreton Indoor Market on Friday, January 24, running from 10am to 2pm. The clinic will run for about seven weeks at first but may be extended if take-up is good.
