Michael Kenneth Renshaw, 38, of Wood Street, Leabrooks, Alfreton. Indicated a guilty plea to stealing diesel and a vehicle battery valued at £210 belonging to Akramatic Engineering Co Ltd. Community order to last until June 5, 2016, with 40 hours of unpaid work. Must pay £200 compensation and a £60 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Daniel Alan Gadsby, 24, of Chesterfield Royal Hospital. Indicated a guilty plea to stealing four cans of Special Brew valued at £8.39 belonging to Co-operative Stores. Commission of a further offence while subject to a conditional discharge for 12 months for a criminal damage offence. No adjudication. Dealt with for the original offence of damaging a window. Community order to last until June 4, 2016, with a Rehabilitation Activity Requirement. Fined £50. Must pay £8.39 compensation.

Darius Stankus, 23, of Prospect Road, Pilsley, Chesterfield. Indicated a plea of guilty to stealing money worth £50. Must pay £50 compensation and a £60 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Indicated a plea of guilty to stealing an Acer Tablet valued at £150. Community order to last until June 7, 2016, with a Thinking Skills Programme and Rehabilitation Activity Requirement and 80 hours of unpaid work. Must pay £150 compensation.

Paul Townsend, 39, of Hill Top Road, Old Whittington, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to stealing a bottle of Champagne and two air fresheners valued at £44.97 belonging to the Co-op. Discharged conditionally for 12 months. Must pay a £15 victim surcharge and £85 costs and a court charge of £150.

Paul Aaron Wells, 31, of No Fixed Address. Admitted failing to comply with supervision requirements after a release from imprisonment in that he was arrested and charged with further offences therefore breaching his licence condition. Pleaded guilty to stealing Krispy Kreme doughnuts valued at £4.80 belonging to Tesco. Pleaded guilty to assault. Committed to prison for six weeks. Must pay £4.80 compensation and an £80 victim surcharge and £85 costs and a £150 court charge.

Admitted commission of a further offence during a suspended sentence for an offence of assault. No adjudication. Dealt with for the original offence of assault in respect of the suspended sentence. Adam Aaron Holmes, 33, of Castle Drive, Somercotes, Alfreton. Found guilty of having an offensive weapon, namely a lump hammer, in a public place. Must pay an £80 victim surcharge. Found guilty to having a blade in a public place without good reason. Commission of a further offence during a suspended sentence for harassment and the breach of a non-molestation order.
