LETTER: Ebola crisis volunteers were overlooked in New Year’s Honours list

Letter.
Letter.

The honours system must be struggling to find recipients when the likes of celebrities such as James Corden and Joan Collins and athletes who achieved fame 25 years ago are honoured.

In my book the awards should go to volunteers who go to help with the Ebola crisis and the people who risk their lives to provide aid in war torn zones, ie the Red Cross and medicines sans frontiers.

Surely they are the real heroes who deserve recognition.
