LETTER: People quick to complain about Derbyshire County Council, but not to praise
As a person who likes all things fair.... I was just wondering if those who put pen to paper or got ‘click happy’ on Twitter or Facebook regarding the snow fall and lack of gritting (really?) on Boxing Day, have been so eager to praise ‘the council’ on their great efforts and success on this recent snowfall ..... Mmmm PROBABLY NOT!
Well, I would like to say a big thank you to all those who stayed up all night checking the weather forecasts and more so, to the guys driving the roads of Derbyshire several times during the day and continuing into the night, while we slept soundly, so that we all woke up in the morning to great road conditions.
SEE! That really wasn’t difficult!
People should stop, think and more importantly, gather all the facts before assuming the worst and accept that sometimes Mother Nature will be hard to beat!
