LETTER: Young scooter riders cannot go any faster
I wonder how many people, myself included, have moaned at how slow some of the learner scooters go and how they hold up the traffic.
A couple of months ago my son got a scooter too and I never realised that at the age of 16 (the ageyou can buy and ride a scooter) there is a limiter put on the bikes and they are unable to go more than 30mph.
So, next time you feel like moaning and perhaps speeding past a bit close to them because they are annoying you on your journey just remember, it’s not their fault?
