Lighting up for Yuletide

A village church will be celebrating the festive season with its annual Christmas tree festival.

Holy Trinity Church, in Church Street, Tansley, will become a woodland of decorated trees when it hosts the third festival between Saturday, December 8, and Wednesday, December 12.

During this time the church will be open from 11am to 5pm on Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday and 1pm to 5pm on Monday and Tuesday.

Refreshments will be available throughout the festival.

As part of the event, on December 8 The Curbar and District United Churches Choir will be performing a concert.

Admission will be free however donations are welcomed and will be given to church funds.

The concert will start at 7.30pm and there will be refreshments served during the interval.
