Literature festival returns

Tickets are to go on sale for an annual festival of literature.

From Monday tickets will be available for the Derbyshire Literature Festival.

This will be the seventh year the event has taken place organised by Derbyshire County Council.

It will feature a jam-packed programme of events taking place between May 11 and 20 across 45 venues throughout the county.

On May 13, broadcaster and economist Evan Davis will be at Masson Mills in Matlock Bath talking about his book ‘Made in Britain’.

Leader of the council, Andrew Lewer, said: “We have some great writers coming to Derbyshire who, I am sure, will be a big draw to anyone who enjoys a good book.

“There are writing workshops, exhibitions, children’s activities, events for teenagers and family events.”

Tickets can be booked through any Derbyshire library or by contacting Call Derbyshire on 08456 058 058 or 01629 533190.
