Long queues on M1 South as crash causes eight-mile tailback

Drivers heading south face long delays after a smash on the M1 has left one lane closed near junction 24.

Long queues - as far back as eight miles - are building on the M1 South following the crash which initially saw two lanes shut near East Midlands Airport.

Highways England say there are 60-minute delays on the approach to the collision above usual journey times - spanning eight miles.
