Looking back over the years

Y-Not 2009 saw the heavens open and festival goers forced to embrace a summery-abundance of rain, wind and mud.

However, this did little to dampen the spirits of everybody involved as tickets sold out and the festival delivered its typically refreshing blend of intimacy, variety and value – with muddy smiles all over the place.

In 2010 The Subways, Futureheads and Mystery Jets headlined a truly epic event that saw Y-Not shortlisted for Best Small Festival at the 2010 UK Festival awards.

In 2011 organisers took another leap forward to host the biggest and best weekend to date.

On the bill for that weekend were Maximo Park, Feeder, The Go! Team, Miles Kane, The Rifles, Beardyman among a host of others who gave all in attendance another amazing weekend.

So, to this year, where another fantastic line-up of artists awaits to blow the minds of party-animals.

It looks like sunshine is on the cards, but whether it’s wellies and waterproofs or flip-flops and T-shirts, it’ll certainly be fun for all.

For families, there is always a quiet camping area – with showers and toilets – as well as activities including costume making, child-friendly cabaret, sports days, hoola-hooping and circus skills.
