I would like to invite your readers to take part in an exciting new event this summer – the Rutland Water Swim on Sunday 9 September.
This is the first ever charity open water swim in Rutland Water. Epilepsy Action is delighted to be hosting the event with the support of Inspire2tri and Anglian Water.
Set in 4,200 acres of open countryside, Rutland Water is the UK’s largest reservoir and the main rural attraction in England’s smallest county. The area is a haven for wildlife and outdoor activities.
The event is open to experienced outdoor swimmers and those wanting to try something new and be among the first to swim in Rutland Water.
Every year, 32,000 people are diagnosed with epilepsy, that’s 87 every single day. And there are over 600,000 people in the UK with the condition. Anyone can develop epilepsy, at any time in their life.
Epilepsy Action improves the lives of everyone affected by epilepsy.
To find out more and sign up this summer readers can visit www.epilepsy.org.uk/rutlandswim. Or contact me on 0116 243 0569 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org
